There are things in this world that I don’t understand. Clearly there are the things that really matter in the world, like how a few countries can have so much and so many countries can have so little. Or why some people have such vicious hatred for people of other races or religions. Or Kansas. Or lots of other things that really matter in the grand scheme of things.

However, what is on my mind right now is last night’s (5/17) episode of Lost. I don’t want to spoil the episode for those who may not have seen it and it would take too long to go into the details of it. But, I just don’t get why TV and movie writers insist on writing characters to be so stupid. Why not write a show where people are going to think and act in ways that actually make sense? Don’t get me wrong, I love the show, but there was one plot point last night that just drove me nuts becuase of this. If there are shows out there that don’t committ this egregious error, please let me know (LizzieDarcy, don’t talk to me about Buffy).
